Apple Sausage Pasta

An interesting combination, but I love the contrast of the savory meat and the sweet juice. We usually don’t have any left overs of this, and in my house, that’s a good sign.


Apple Sausage Pasta

4 heaping cups dry bow tie pasta

1 pkg bratwurst
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 tsp garlic, chopped
6 oz. apple juice concentrate
1 Tbl cornstarch
2 Tbl water
Cook dry pasta according to package directions
Slice bratwurst into chunks and sear in pan
(I like to remove the casing, but not required)
Add pepper, onion and garlic
Add juice and simmer until meat is cooked through
In a small bowl mix cornstarch and water
Add cornstarch mixture to meat mixture to thicken

Drain pasta and stir in with meat and sauce
